Downeasters is proud to have the following quartets associated with our chorus. We endorse all of them as excellent singers and entertainers, suitable for any occasion...
Mach 4
Mach 4 formed in late 2021 and had a busy 2022. They have performed at the Yarmouth Clam Festival, sung the National Anthem at Hadlock Field for the Portland Sea Dogs, as well as some private events. In October 2022 they represented the Downeasters at the Northeastern District Convention of the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS) covering all of New England and Eastern Canada, and at that debut contest, they were awarded second place.
With combined barbershopping experience of well over 100 years, Port City Sound is the “youngest” seniors quartet around, entertaining diverse audiences at restaurants, shows, and parties with its robust and vibrant sound.
One of the top quartets in New England, The Maine Idea, a mixed quartet were medalists in the Northeastern District quartet contest held October, 2022!
